In 1983, Jim McGrath and Associates started with candles. Today our four 'basic items': Candles, Altar Breads, Palms and Wine are just a portion of the five hundred (500) items warehoused in our Bensenville facility. As our product line moved with the market needs, we changed our name to Monk's Wine and Candles.

Wine – We are the producers of Monastic Wines. We sell and stock fourteen (14) types of Sacramentally-approved altar wine, including red and white non-alcoholic mustum.

Candles – We are distributors for all types of church candles from all the church candle manufacturers.

Altar Breads – For quality and good safety reasons (FDA) we only sell Cavanaugh breads, which are produced in the U.S.A.

Palms – For quality and dependability, we distribute Palm Garden Brand.

Vestments/Linens – Vestments, Altar linens and Purificators from MDS and Abbey Brand.

Oil – We distribute for Emitte Lucem and Lux Mundi. We also stock bulk candle oil in jug and quart size containers.

Communion Ware – We proudly distribute Alviti Creations communion ware.

Liturgical Metalware – We have available a complete line of liturgical metalware from well known hardware manufacturers.

Refinishing – All church hardware and communion ware viewed and quoted free of charge. Refinished by reputable church hardware manufacturers.
